How to Measure Your Bra Size at Home:

1.Measuring Band Size

Take a measuring tape and measure around your torso directly under your bust, where a bra band normally would sit. (make sure you're braless or wearing a non-padded bra).

The tape should be level and snug. Take a look at where the tapes intersect and round that number to the nearest whole number. For example, if the measurement is (32.25 = 32, 33.5 = 33 or 33.75 = 34).

If the number is even, add four inches. If it’s odd, add five. For example, (34+4 = 38, 31+5=36). The sum of this calculation is your band size! Make a note of this final number!

2. Measuring Cup Size

Take the same measuring tape and wrap it loosely around the fullest part of your chest (measure across the nipple level).

Look at where the tapes intersect and round that number to the nearest or next whole number. Make a note of this final number. Now let's determine your cup size!

3. Determining Your Cup Size

Take the final number from the (band size) and subtract it from the final number from the (bust size).

See chart below.

BUST SIZE - BAND SIZE = Your Bra Size! (e.g. 37 inches (bust) – 34 inches (band) = 3 inches, 34C). The difference in the inches will correspond to your cup size.

Your Cup Size: AA A B  C D E

F (DDD)

G
Difference in Inches: 0 1 2 3 4 5 6 7

Tip: Remember your bra hook should be on the loosest hook when purchasing a new bra. Bra's will stretch as you wash and wear it, as time goes by this is when you move to the middle hook.

Choosing Your Sister Size:

Yay! Now that you know how to measure your bra size, you want to make sure that size is perfect for your body! Understanding your Sister Sizes are important! Pay close attention to how your particular breast shape may affect the way certain bras fit and feel on you. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact one of our Lace Members!

What is a Sister Size: As the cup size goes up, the band’s width must come down (in order to maintain a proper ratio of breast to cup coverage). In other words, as the band measurement increases, the cup letter should decrease (the girls need proportion). Sister Sizes are sizes that have the same cup capacity, but a different band size.

For Example: A 34B has sister sizes of either 32C or 36A! Below are LMN's Sister Size Chart for your reference!

32b = 30c, 34a
34b = 30d, 32c, 36a
36b = 32d, 34c, 38a
38b = 32e/dd, 34d, 36c, 40a
